Had a family of 6 racoons living under my deck and was able to trap them all in a matter of 7 days catching two small ones at the same time. I was able to remove them safely thanks to the metal shield that covered the handle that prevented the racoons from either biting or scratching me. Easy to bait and set, even caught the neighbors cat one night although he was released safely and went right home. Sure beats spending $500.00 to $600.00 dollars to have a professional come and set the same trap only to have me call him when it goes off so he could come and take the animal to the woods. Again great highly effective product which included instructions on which baits to use to catch different animals.*****stars

(More customer reviews)I have been plagued with pesky armadillos for the last several years in my Florida yard.After getting advice from several people, I have tried everything under the sun to get rid of these guys as my lawn has large dead spots where the root systems have been destroyed, not to mention the uneven ground that my kids play on due to the multiple holes that are dug.I tried mothballs, filling their holes with dirt and water, covering their holes, even tainted food.Nothing worked.I finally broke down and bought this Havahart trap 1 month ago.At first, I caught several animals except for an armadillo (opossums, racoons mainly)I tried using several different types of bait until I finally got my armadillo this past Monday.The bait---a rotten Mango.Did the trick!!I relocated this critter to an uninhabited preservation area several miles away where he can go about his business as he pleases.The handle on this trap made it easy to transport the animal without difficulty.I am a satisfied customer.

(More customer reviews)This is the greatest product on earth for catching mice.You have to fiddle with it and let your creative solutions work for the size of mice you are trying to catch, but it is an excellent product.The only thing I would say is that if you find the mice are eating your food(we used peanut butter and a cheerio on top,) and the door is not shutting, use some imagination to weight down your trap door.It is probably because the baby mice are out now and they are not heavy enough to spring the door.I am using a water bottle cap, with a slather of peanut butter, cheerio on top, and a weight.It has worked every time now.We have 3 traps in total and have caught at least 20 mice in 2 months.
